These answers explain what we do, how we create value, and why this is different from a traditional sourcing agent, freight forwarder buying service, or trading company quote.
What does Check China Price do?
We help global buyers research China-side factory / wholesale purchase references, domestic retail context, export supplier price context, supplier options, and price authenticity. The goal is to help you understand whether a current quote or purchase price is reasonable before you buy.
Are you a sourcing agent or a price research service?
Our core service is price research. Optional sourcing support is separate. You can buy a report, use the information, and contact suppliers directly when export contact is available. You do not have to purchase through us.
Do you make money from product markups?
No. Our model is service-fee based. We do not position the service as a hidden product markup or price spread. If optional sourcing support is requested, the service fee is agreed separately.
Do you show the factory’s real production cost?
No. We do not claim to reveal a factory's internal production cost. We research practical factory / wholesale purchase references based on China-side supplier discovery, public sources, manual research, and supplier inquiry where applicable.
Why is this valuable if I can search online myself?
You can search online, but visible prices may be misleading. Some prices are traffic bait, bulk-only prices, wrong-spec prices, retail prices, or trader prices. We help compare price layers, filter supplier types, identify risk signals, and organize the information into a decision-ready report.
Do reports show USD prices?
Yes. Reports are presented with USD reference price ranges for buyer readability. Any currency conversion is handled internally as a reference and is not a guaranteed payment exchange rate.
Service plans and what they mean
Our pricing reflects human research time, supplier filtering, communication difficulty, and the value of avoiding bad sourcing decisions.
For common products, standard items, and simple industrial products with clear model, nameplate, link, or specification.
Recommended for buyers who want price context plus up to 1–3 relevant supplier options where available.
For serious buyers who want multiple supplier inquiries, MOQ notes, specification checks, and supplier comparison.
For drawings, OEM, components, industrial parts, BOM, CNC, molds, or complex specification-based requests.
Why is the service priced at this level?
The price covers manual research time, China-side supplier discovery, product matching, supplier type judgment, price authenticity review, and report preparation. One wrong supplier quote, hidden markup, or poor sourcing decision can cost much more than the report fee.
Can I submit multiple related products?
Yes. Related simple products or variants may be added at a discounted research fee, often from $49, when they share the same category, supplier pool, or specifications. Different product categories or technical products may require separate pricing.
Is Basic only for consumer products?
No. Basic can also fit standard industrial items if the product has clear model, nameplate, specification, link, or enough information for reliable matching. Drawing-based, OEM, replacement engineering, or complex technical requests are not suitable for Basic.
Can the final price change after I submit?
Yes. If the submitted product is more complex than the selected plan, we may recommend a different plan, a Technical / OEM Retainer, or a custom quote before deeper research begins.
Supplier contact options depend on the selected plan
Price research and supplier contact research are related, but not the same workload. Finding relevant contactable suppliers requires extra filtering and judgment.
Do all reports include supplier contacts?
Not always. Basic focuses on price research and may mention supplier type or source context, but it does not guarantee a full supplier contact list. Standard and Deep plans are better for supplier contact options.
How many supplier options do you provide?
Standard may include up to 1–3 relevant supplier options where available. Deep Supplier Inquiry may include 3–5 supplier candidates where available. We focus on relevant supplier options, not a large list of random contacts.
What if suppliers do not have English contact channels?
Many real China-side suppliers do not have English teams or export channels. If direct contact is not practical, you can request optional sourcing support for separate service fees.
Can I contact suppliers directly?
Yes. If a supplier has an export website, Alibaba page, public email, WhatsApp, or English contact channel, we generally recommend that buyers contact suppliers directly.
Protect your current supplier relationship
If you are comparing an existing supplier quote, you may not want us to contact that supplier. We support excluded supplier instructions.
Can I tell you not to contact my current supplier?
Yes. When submitting a request, you can provide supplier names, websites, platform links, contact persons, email, phone, WhatsApp, or other information for suppliers we should not contact.
Can you still use public information from an excluded supplier?
You can choose. Some buyers allow us to use public information as a market reference but not contact the supplier. Other buyers prefer that we do not contact or use that supplier as a reference source.
Why is this important?
It helps prevent your current supplier from knowing you are comparing prices, protects your existing business relationship, and reduces confidentiality risks for drawings or OEM projects.
What information should you upload?
Upload a clear product photo, product link, target quantity, size, color, material, and any special requirements.
Upload model number, nameplate, datasheet, dimensions, brand, machine information, or current supplier quote if available.
Upload drawings, BOM, material, tolerance, artwork, packaging files, sample reference, or exact technical requirements.
Can I submit only a product photo?
Yes, but the result may be less accurate. Adding links, target quantity, material, model, nameplate, specification, or current quote improves research quality.
Should I provide my current supplier quote?
Yes, if your goal is price comparison. Your current supplier quote helps us judge whether the observed China-side reference appears lower, similar, higher, or requires further verification.
Can I add notes or special instructions?
Yes. You should add any important information, including target quantity, quality requirement, deadline, excluded suppliers, preferred supplier type, current price, budget, or what you want us to verify.
How long does a report take?
Most simple product reports can be delivered within 24–48 business hours after enough product information is received. Deep inquiry and technical requests may take longer.
What happens after I submit a request?
We review product category, information completeness, selected plan, supplier contact requirement, excluded suppliers, NDA needs, and whether the request is suitable for our service.
How is the report delivered?
The formal report is usually delivered by email. WhatsApp may be used for quick updates, missing information, or delivery notification.
Can I request urgent handling?
Rush handling may be possible for simple products, but it is not guaranteed for technical, OEM, drawing-based, or supplier-heavy requests.
Delivery depends on information quality and research depth
A clear product link or nameplate can be faster. A drawing-based technical item, unclear product photo, or multi-supplier inquiry needs more time and may require manual review.
Confidentiality, NDA, and sensitive information
Will you share my product idea or drawings with others?
No. We treat submitted product links, photos, drawings, specifications, current quotes, supplier information, and business details as private request materials. We do not sell your product ideas to other buyers or use them to compete with you.
What is confidential handling?
Confidential handling means we treat your submitted files and business information carefully within the research workflow. This is useful for private label products, drawings, BOM files, new product ideas, or sensitive supplier information.
Can I request NDA handling?
Yes. If your request includes drawings, private label designs, BOM files, or sensitive supplier information, you may request NDA handling before deeper research begins.
Will you automatically send my files to suppliers?
No. For many requests, we can do public and China-side research first. If deeper supplier communication requires sharing sensitive files, we may ask for permission or clarify the scope before proceeding.
What if I am not satisfied with the report?
We use a satisfaction review policy, not an unlimited money-back guarantee. This protects serious buyers while preventing completed manual research from being treated as free work.
You may request a manual review if the report clearly does not match the agreed scope, matches the wrong product, misses key submitted requirements, or provides no meaningful research result.
Not refundable simply because the China price is not low enough, MOQ is higher than expected, you dislike supplier terms, you changed your mind, or you ask for work outside the purchased scope.
How long do I have to request a review?
You should request a review within 3 business days after report delivery and explain which part does not match the agreed scope.
Can I get a refund or credit?
Refunds or credits may be considered if we cannot provide meaningful research results, cannot complete the service, or the report clearly fails to match the agreed scope. Completed research within scope is generally not refundable.
Products we do not support
Do you support counterfeit or branded replica products?
No. We do not support counterfeit goods, replica luxury products, trademark-infringing items, unauthorized branded products, or products intended to mislead customers.
What product types are restricted?
We do not support restricted, illegal, counterfeit, unsafe, weapon-related, drug-related, food, hazardous, adult sexual, or highly regulated products. Some categories such as batteries, children’s products, medical-related products, cosmetics, and safety-critical auto parts may require manual review or may be declined.
Who is responsible for import compliance?
The buyer is responsible for import rules, certifications, safety standards, labeling, customs, taxes, and resale compliance. Our service is price research, not legal or compliance advice.
When buyers need China-side support
When should I use optional sourcing support?
Use it when the supplier does not support English communication, international payment, overseas shipping, or requires China-side receiving, checking, consolidation, or forwarding.
Is sourcing support included in the research report?
No. Sourcing support is separate unless explicitly agreed. Price research helps you make a decision; purchasing assistance begins only if requested, reviewed, and paid separately.
What can optional sourcing support include?
It may include Chinese supplier communication, specification confirmation, sample buying, order coordination, basic photo/video checking, consolidation, and forwarding support, depending on the request.
Do you guarantee supplier performance?
No. We can help coordinate communication and basic service steps, but we do not guarantee supplier production results, customs clearance, resale success, or product compliance unless separately agreed in writing.
